Patient Driver in Brevig Mission


Purpose of Position:

Provide ground transportation for hospital and clinic patients to and from the airport and to and from the hospital/clinic for the elderly and handicapped in Nome in a safe and professional manner and will ensure the vehicle is clean at all times.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide ground transportation for hospital and clinic patients to and from the airport and to and from the hospital/clinic for the elderly and handicapped in Nome in a safe and professional manner
  • Maintain a professional behavior and attitudes in regards to customers, visitors and coworkers 
  • Provide other transportation services such as delivery of business documents and checks needing signatures and outgoing packages to the airlines as needed
  • Keep switchboard operator adviced of whereabouts to ensure efficient patient transportation
  • Assure vehicle maintenance and cleaning, report all problems and/or concerns to the Maintenance Department and immediate supervisor
  • Assist with various materials management support activities as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
