Registered Nurse

Purpose of Position:

Assess, plan, coordinate and render skilled nursing care to patients while applying standards for professional nursing practice. Provide care ranging from non-urgent to life threatening, including but not limited to, medical illness, trauma care, pediatric care, gerontological care, injury prevention, women’s health, mental health issues and life- and limb-saving measures.

Essential Functions:

  • Utilize nursing processes to care for health care consumers of all ages.


  • Carry out patient assessments, diagnoses, planning, and implementation of interventions, evaluating the patients’ responses to the interventions including emotional, social and safety needs.


  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.


  • Perform various patient tests and administer medications as prescribed by the physician.


  • Triage, prioritize, and assist in the stabilization, resuscitation, crisis intervention and/or emergency preparedness of the consumer.


  • Perform other duties as assigned.
