Registered Nurse

Purpose of Position:


Assess, plan, coordinate and render skilled nursing care to patients in the Primary Care Clinic while applying standards for professional nursing practice. , Be proficient in medical care all age groups from pediatrics, to gerontological care, injury prevention, women’s health, health maintenance, immunizations, and wellness visits.


Uphold the organization’s vision, mission, and corporate values. Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with organization’s policies, procedures, code of conduct and work rules.


Essential Functions:

  • Utilize nursing process to create and revise individual patient care plans, carry out interventions and patient assessments, including emotional social and safety needs
  • Assess all patients for tobaccoism, depression, alcohol, drugs, cancer screening, and vaccinations needs
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
  • Perform various patient tests and administer medications as prescribed by physician
  • Promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
  • Be proficient in initiation of IV catheterization and administration of IV medications
  • Serve as clinical resource for LPNs and CMA and charge nurse as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
