PROtect is looking for an experienced LDAR Supervisor to lead Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) and Benzene Waste Operations NESHAP (BWON) programs at a major refinery site in Norco. LA. This role is ideal for a seasoned LDAR professional who enjoys leading field teams, solving technical challenges, and ensuring environmental compliance for complex industrial operations.Â

As an LDAR Supervisor, you’ll oversee day-to-day LDAR and BWON activities, mentor technicians, support compliance programs, and work closely with customers and internal leadership to deliver high-quality environmental services.Â

Â
What You'll DoÂ
Lead LDAR & BWON OperationsÂ
- Oversee LDAR and BWON monitoring programs to ensure compliance with EPA, state, and site requirementsÂ
- Manage program inventories, monitoring schedules, and compliance documentationÂ
- Ensure monitoring data, calibration records, and databases are accurate and audit-readyÂ
- Provide technical guidance and field support to LDAR and inventory teamsÂ
- Support development and improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs)Â
Lead & Develop Field TeamsÂ
- Coach and mentor LDAR technicians and inventory staffÂ
- Help develop team members’ skills and support career advancementÂ
- Support onboarding and field training for new hiresÂ
- Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and travel to ensure project coverageÂ
Safety & ComplianceÂ
- Review Job Safety Assessments (JSAs) and ensure proper PPE and equipmentÂ
- Maintain current knowledge of environmental and safety regulationsÂ
- Partner with Safety leadership to ensure required training is completedÂ
- Promote a strong safety culture across all operationsÂ
Client & Project SupportÂ
- Lead project coordination and maintain status updates for customersÂ
- Support quoting, estimating, and proposal developmentÂ
- Identify opportunities to improve customer programsÂ
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to support new LDAR/BWON servicesÂ
Systems & Program ManagementÂ
- Manage equipment suppliers for monitoring tools, calibration gas, and tagsÂ
- Support administrative needs including timesheets, job sheets, and expense reportingÂ
- Communicate project status and resource needs with internal leadershipÂ
What We're Looking ForÂ
ExperienceÂ
- 7–10 years of experience in LDAR or industrial environmental servicesÂ
- Experience in refinery, petrochemical, or industrial environmentsÂ
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experienceÂ
- BWON program experience strongly preferred (inventory, monitoring, reporting)Â
- Strong knowledge of EPA and state environmental regulationsÂ
- Experience managing remote or multi-site field teamsÂ
EducationÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a technical field preferredÂ
- Equivalent industry experience will be consideredÂ
Technical SkillsÂ
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)Â
- Excellent communication and leadership abilitiesÂ
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projectsÂ
- Ability to work independently in both field and office environmentsÂ
- Willingness to travel as neededÂ
Work EnvironmentÂ
This role includes both office and industrial field environments. Work may involve:Â
- Extended periods of sitting or standingÂ
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditionsÂ
- Exposure to industrial environments including noise, fumes, and temperature changesÂ
- Climbing, working at heights, and confined space entryÂ
- Lifting up to 25 lbs occasionallyÂ
