Lakeview Behavioral Health Hospital, part of Acadia Healthcare, is seeking a strategic, compassionate, and operationally strong Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to guide nursing practice and strengthen patient outcomes across our full continuum of care.

 

About Lakeview Behavioral Health Hospital

Lakeview Behavioral Health is a 118‑bed inpatient behavioral health treatment center providing comprehensive services for adolescents and adults. Located just outside the Atlanta perimeter in Norcross, GA, we deliver evidence‑based psychiatric and substance use treatment in a therapeutic, confidential, and safe environment. 

Our multidisciplinary teams provide individualized, trauma‑informed care supported by a broad continuum of services, including:

  • Inpatient psychiatric care for adolescents & adults
  • Detoxification & addiction treatment
  • Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
  • Crisis stabilization
  • Comprehensive behavioral, experiential, and medication‑based therapies

Your Impact as CNO

As CNO, you will serve as a core member of the executive leadership team, accountable for both clinical excellence and operational performance. You will:

 

  • Drive nursing strategy and operational excellence. 
  • Mentor and develop clinical leaders across all units. 
  • Ensure compliance with TJC, CMS, and regulatory standards. 
  • Oversee budgets, staffing, and workforce planning. 
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. 
  • Monitor outcomes and champion continuous improvement. 
  • Influence executive decisions and long-term planning.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active RN license (GA or eligible for reciprocity)
  • Proven nursing leadership experience (CNO, DON, or equivalent)
  • Behavioral health nursing experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting
  • BSN required; MSN or specialty certification preferred
  • Strong strategic, operational, and interpersonal skills

Experience:

  • 6+ years of RN experience (10+ preferred)
  • 3+ years of progressive nursing leadership
  • 2+ years of inpatient behavioral health RN experience
