Construction Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Implementation of safety program to maintain a safe and health work environment
• Conduct regular walk-through inspections of construction areas
• Identifying, documenting, and recommending resolutions for potentially hazardous/hazardous conditions. Follow through to ensure corrections are made.
• Investigate personal injury and property damage accidents
• Compile data and photographs, etc; Prepare relevant forms and reports per program procedures and state, federal, and local regulations related to accidents.
• Conduct various industrial site samplings (ex: O2, gas, noise, etc) to ensure safe working conditions.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s discretion and company needs.

Qualifications

• Four-year program in occupational health/safety, or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or industrial-related safety experience.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience
• Ability to recognize hazardous/potentially hazardous conditions and recommend solutions.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
