How We Work
As a Payables Operations Intern you will be expected to work in an in-office environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:
- Assigned workspace in our Richmond, VA office location
- Company-issued equipment
- Formal, hands-on training
Role Responsibilities
This full-time internship will involve working directly with the SVP of Payables Shared Operations, VP of Fraud Operations, and Senior Manager of Support Operations (direct supervisor), with a primary focus on operations analytics, AI enablement, and reporting optimization. Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing Salesforce case management and ticketing data to identify contact trends, monetization opportunities, operational insights, and efficiency improvements. Developing Salesforce contact analytics that help leaders better understand case volume, customer needs, support drivers, and opportunities to improve operational performance.
- Researching and documenting ways operations leaders can responsibly use AI tools to improve communication, reporting, decision-making, and team efficiency. Creating a leader and manager AI playbook covering practical use cases such as AI in Outlook, AI-assisted email cleanup, AI-supported data analysis, and other productivity-enhancing workflows.
- Reviewing existing operating reports, including Ops Rhythm materials, to assess content quality, usability, consistency, and relevance for leadership audiences. Recommending improvements to operating report design, including better content presentation, streamlined metrics, clearer insights, and rationalized reporting structures.
- Supporting ad hoc operations projects and analyses that improve shared operations performance, fraud operations visibility, and support operations effectiveness.
The intern will be supervised, participating in meetings, stand-up meetings when possible, and connect 1:1 with their direct supervisor.
Additional supervision will include:
- Setting clear expectations and goals throughout the internship.
- Helping the intern build skills and knowledge related to strategic growth and its application to our business function.
- Providing constructive feedback on the intern’s ideas, recommendations, and project work.
- Offering ongoing team mentorship and support.
Qualifications & Skills
- Students must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in a Bachelor or Graduate degree program through the duration of the internship.
- Rising college junior or senior majoring in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a comparable degree.
- Strong academic record, and in good standing.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills required.
- Must display maturity and a high level of professionalism.
- Must be committed to working a 40-hour work week for 10-12 weeks during the summer months.
