JOB PURPOSE:
Contribute towards on time delivery and cost control in the Ocean Fiber (SFO) Operations area through focus on improving product flow, process improvement, quality, training, equipment maintenance and inventory management.Â

Associates or Undergraduate Degree, preferably in a technical field

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)
3+ years of manufacturing experience
Six Sigma Green Belt
Knowledge of optical fiber manufacturing

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate on & lead teams during projects and initiatives.
- Day to day contact with operators, engineers, and maintenance.
- Daily Operations Support – Support the SFO area with product flow, production data analysis, participate in daily technical meetings and assist/lead the development of action plans to address chronic issues.
- Meet all SFO metric goals for Safety, Quality, Efficiency and Cost
- Drive technical improvements and maintenance upgrades
- Ensure Operational Readiness requirements are met on all projects
- Lead improvement efforts to eliminate chronic losses in the manufacturing systems
