About the Role 

 

The Warehouse Manager will oversee daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring its cleanliness, security, and efficient functionality. They will lead the designated Region for warehouse operations. Responsibilities include managing warehouse opening and closing procedures, maintaining a clean and organized space, and coordinating volunteer activities, including recruitment, training, and managing the volunteer database. The role also involves planning and executing in-kind donation drives, fostering a positive volunteer experience, and ensuring all activities align with organizational standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, accountability, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive environment. 

 

What You'll Do 

  • Ensure that regional warehouse is active and efficient enough to achieve yearly IK target assigned. 
  • Ensure consistent physical presence at the warehouse to oversee daily operations and maintenance, make warehouse open and available to volunteers on weekends/holidays, and respond to any inquiries, comments, or calls. 
  • Lead the team & volunteers to maintain a detailed inventory of consignments, collaborate with the In-Kind Gifts Department (IKD) to share accurate documentation for consignments. 
  • Oversee the inventory and ordering of supplies, boxes, and other materials required for warehouse operations. 
  • Make sure that IK expenses are being managed in a careful manner on inventory, supplies, rentals and warehouse. 
  • Plan and execute regular in-kind donation drives with the help of regional teams to meet project goals and achieve the yearly In-kind target. 
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support warehouse activities, and coordinate efficient and accurate sorting/packing procedures. 
  • Handle booking requests for consignments promptly and accurately and work with IKD team to make sure booking is finalized well in advance. 
  • Ensure the best quality of containers for shipping in-kind gifts adhering to guidelines outlined by auditors. 
  • Build relationships with existing in-kind donors, and community organizations and actively seek new individual and business donors to support the program. 
  • Maintain and organize marketing materials, the donor database, contact details of community organizations, and the volunteer database. 
  • Following HHRD’s auditor’s requirements and international standards of In-kind gifts. 
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by implementing and enforcing clear standards and procedures, while adhering to all relevant legal regulations. 
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills to stay in frequent contact with relevant staff, such as community organizations, the Marketing team, the Fundraising team, local HHRD personnel, and the In-Kind Gifts Department. 
  • Stay connected with the community and mainstream print/electronic media for press releases, advertisements, event reports, articles about HHRD, and press conferences.  

Required Qualifications 

 

  • Must be present to work onsite in warehouse. 
  • Must be adaptable and available on short notice, including weekends, holidays, and occasional late hours, particularly during disaster and emergency situations.  
  • Must have Associate’s degree (or equivalent).  
  • Must be efficient in Microsoft Office especially Word and Excel.  
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal English.  
  • At least 1 year experience working in a warehouse environment. 
  • Must be able to perform any other tasks as needed or assigned by the supervisor or HHRD leadership. 

Nice to Have 

 

  • Degree or certification in logistics and supply chain management. 
  • Two or more years of experience in warehouse management role.  
  • Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company events and tasks.  
  • Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal English.’ 
  • Ability to communicate in more than one language (Urdu and Arabic most preferred)
