Consistency is a key element in a positive experience, which is achieved by always following recipes. A bartender must be friendly, outgoing and possess good communication skills. A bartender should be organized and able to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure. Along with complying with all laws, company policy, brand standards, the following are the Essential Functions of this position:  This position is empowered to guarantee total guest satisfaction assisting all guest sincerely and courteously.  Going the extra mile to ensure total guest satisfaction Displays hospitality, professionalism, and projects a favorable image of the company and property to the public at all times.  Takes pride in representing the company and property professionally with our guests, associates, and vendors. Ensures that all transactions with our guests, associates, and vendors are handled in a legal and ethical manner.  Complies with company, department & brand standards Completes training as required by company, property and brand. Maintains a clean and neat appearance at all times. A complete uniform (or business attire for non-uniformed associates) must be worn at all times in public areas, including a name tag.  Must be able to work flexible hours/schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.  Welcome each guest personally within 30 seconds. Communicate with guests using clear and enthusiastic words, tone and body language at all times. Make guests feel appreciated through bartender's actions. Work as a team with all personnel to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service. Work with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked to standards at all times. Mix, garnish and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks for patrons of bar and dining room following standard recipes. Ring drink orders into the point-of-sale system immediately and collect money from guests for drinks served. Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in agreement with standards. Wash and sterilize stemware. Be attentive! Offer assistance before the guest has to ask for it. Count drinks guests are served. Monitor and ensure that no guest receives more than the allowed number of specific drinks. Anticipate your guest's needs. Follow the half-full rule when offering another drink. Be alert of guest signals (raising a hand, making eye contact, etc.), and acknowledge the guest to let them know the bartender will be right with them. Learn guests' names, occupations, and favorite drinks. Serve alcohol responsibly. Should a guest reach the state where the bartender does not feel the guest should drive, supply a taxi. Do not hesitate to ask for management intervention if necessary. Any other duties that are required at the direction of the supervisor.    Supervisory Responsibilities None  Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
