Job Summary:

The Roofing Mechanic is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial roofing systems while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain commercial roofing systems, including flat, low-slope, and steep-slope roofs.
Work with roofing materials such as TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, metal, and asphalt shingles.
Diagnose roofing issues and perform effective repairs.
Follow manufacturer specifications, company standards, and applicable building codes.
Conduct roof inspections and identify defects or maintenance needs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
Comply with all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and PPE requirements.
Operate roofing tools, equipment, ladders, and other job-related machinery safely and efficiently.
Work collaboratively with project managers, foremen, and crew members to complete projects on schedule.
Communicate professionally with customers and team members as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Commercial roofing experience preferred.
Knowledge of commercial roofing systems and installation methods.
Ability to safely operate roofing tools and equipment.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Willingness to travel locally as business needs require.

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Commercial roofing experience required.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work at elevated heights for extended periods.
Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain.
