Northeast Community College is seeking an individual to instruct, inform, and evaluate students on the operation of commercial motor vehicles, including Class A, B, and C with various endorsements as well as state and federal laws and regulations.  This is accomplished by leading lectures and discussions, demonstrating various scenarios, monitoring student performance, and assessing performance. Other duties include performing minor maintenance on trucks and trailers, recruiting staff, and assisting in planning and setting up special training classes. 


Requirements: 

Education - High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred.

Experience - Three years of professional truck driving experience required. The successful candidate will have a clean driving record, a current DOT physical, and a current Class A CDL license and maintain the license during employment with Northeast Community College. The candidate must adhere to all requirements of holding a CDL license and be willing to learn to operate and teach with simulation equipment. 

Skills - A performance test is required. The position requires excellent communication skills, exceptional human relation skills, comfort in speaking in front of a class, and knowledge of operating computers.
