SUMMARY

This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all operations for the Richmond and Norfolk branches respectively. You will manage staff, foster a positive environment, and ensure customer satisfaction and proper branch operation. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable sales targets to be achieved.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other functions may be assigned.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to set reasonable sales and/or productivity goals for assigned location. Attain or exceed branch sales and profits.
  • Monitor branch sales and find innovative ways to increase sales productivity. Responsible for the performance of all day-to-day counter and customer service functions ensuring the highest level of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Supervise inside operations, including margins, expense control, inventory, deliveries and housekeeping.
  • Collaborate with other managers and the marketing team regarding business plans to develop and grow branch sales as well as develop and recommend specific sales and marketing objectives for branch products.
  • Share knowledge with other branches and key stakeholders on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs.
  • Monitor and develop an ongoing customer service attitude in all employees.
  • Develop and maintain key business relationships with customers, team members, industry organizations and the local community.
  • Maintain and develop positive relationships with all team members, customers, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities; develop and implement a plan for meeting those needs in partnership with other business leaders as needed.
  • Consistently evaluate existing business processes to improve the support of team members, the customer experience, and overall business performance.
  • Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 3 + years of HVAC distribution or relevant HVAC experience, counter sales
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Ability to manage multiple direct reports
  • Ability to provide and maintain top-notch customer service
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Supervisory experience including that of commercial drivers
  • Knowledge of warehouse/inventory management
