About the Role:
Because We Care II Inc is looking for a compassionate and skilled Clinical Assessor to join our dedicated team in Norfolk, VA. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and biopsychosocial evaluations for new and existing clients
- Determine appropriate levels of care and develop individualized treatment recommendations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate client services and referrals
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Monitor client progress and reassess treatment needs as appropriate
- Ensure adherence to state, federal, and agency policies regarding behavioral health services
- Provide crisis intervention support and risk assessments when necessary
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field
- Active licensure or eligibility for licensure in Virginia (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent)
- Experience conducting clinical assessments in a behavioral health or substance use setting
- Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and evidence-based treatment modalities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to documentation accuracy
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations in a trauma-informed manner
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
