Basic Job Functions:
Vulcraft Nebraska is seeking a Human Resources Intern. As a Human Resources Intern, you will acquire hands-on learning experiences along with HR mentorship through the support of our current HR team. Basic functions of this job will include:
- Assist with organization of our annual summer picnic
- Manage and maintain social media content
- Manage onboarding process for new teammates
- Coordinate and maintain all FMLA and sick leave requests
- Schedule and coordinate virtual training sessions for teammates
- Assist with other various HR projects as assigned
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be working towards a degree in human resources or related field
- No relatives employed at Vulcraft Nebraska or Nucor Detailing Center (Nucor Corporation Policy No 21 B 3)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preference given to students with Junior or Senior standing for the Fall 2026 academic year
