Basic Job Functions:

The role of NCF Maintenance is to be responsible for the safest, most efficient, cost effective means of operation and maintenance of our assets. Skills used on a daily basis include (but are not limited to) PLC programming/troubleshooting, AC/DC Drive programming/troubleshooting, general maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment, machining and fabrication of equipment. This is a rotating shift position which includes nights, weekends, emergency overtime and holidays.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

Electromechanical degree or three years industrial maintenance experience including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Basic knowledge of machining, welding, and equipment fabrication skills.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.

Preferences:

PLC Skills in AB Control Logix 5000/500, Siemens STEP 7, etc...)
AC/DC Drive experience (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc…)
Industrial Maintenance Experience
