Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual and precision machine tools including lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine machining sequence and setup requirements
- Calculate dimensions, tooling requirements, feeds, and speeds using standard shop mathematics
- Measure, mark, and lay out stock for machining using precision measuring instruments
- Use machinist hand tools and inspection equipment to ensure parts meet exact tolerances
- Fit and assemble precision components into mechanical equipment
- Determine materials, parts, and tooling required for production
- Modify and adjust numerically controlled (NC) programs as needed
- Monitor and verify product quality in accordance with statistical process control and quality procedures
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of related machining experience
- Strong blueprint reading and technical interpretation skills
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
- Experience with NC/CNC programming modifications preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent technical training preferred
- Must be a US Citizen

Pay: $35.00 Per hour
$120 Perdiem NON LOCAL ONLY
