Scheduler

Basic Job Functions:

Teammate will be responsible for scheduling sales and production orders in accordance with current sales order demand.  This includes, but is not limited to, proactively managing schedules for production resources and other scheduling functions as necessary.  Analyze schedules and future demand to ensure the division is aligning with its goals and strategies.  Work with our sales, purchasing, production, quality, finance and shipping teams to ensure orders are completed on time.  Provide solutions to situations that may arise during the order, scheduling, and production process.  Occasional travel may be required to visit other Nucor facilities. 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

• Two-year degree or equivalent experience 
• Strong computer and analytical skills that include experience using Microsoft Excel
