[Position Summary]
The HSSE Manager provides leadership to ensure the effective management of Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) risks across offshore wind project activities. The role supports safe planning and execution by setting clear HSSE expectations, overseeing contractor performance, and ensuring alignment with applicable regulatory and corporate HSSE requirements.
[Key Responsibility]
Provide HSSE leadership, governance, and oversight across offshore and associated project activities
Identify, assess, and manage HSSE risks related to marine operations and high-risk construction activities
Review and challenge contractor HSSE plans, procedures, and risk controls
Support contractor selection, onboarding, and readiness from an HSSE perspective
Monitor HSSE performance and drive continuous improvement during project execution
Advise project leadership on HSSE matters, including risk, escalation, and decision-making
Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and company HSSE frameworks
[Qualifications]
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Safety, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Recognized HSSE qualification (e.g., Industrial Safety Engineer or equivalent)
Auditor qualification (ISO 45001/14001)
Minimum 10 years of HSSE experience in offshore wind, onshore wind, oil & gas, marine construction, heavy industry, or equivalent high-risk sectors, including substantial contractor management and site leadership
Proven record of leading HSSE through procurement / contracting phases (pre-qualification, tender evaluation, contractor HSSE requirements) and execution across multiple packages
Prior Project HSSE Manager experience in dealing with various stakeholders like client, partner, contractor and subcontractor, and in facilitating project HSSE matters
Strong communication and engagement skills for developing HSSE culture across projects
Strong knowledge of local HSSE laws and regulations particularly on K-OSHA, SAPA and other construction related laws
Solid knowledge of operational HSSE management and requirement as per international and national regulation e.g., IOGP, KOSHA guide, G+, etc.
Effective communication skills to work with multicultural teams and contractors
Proactive mindset with experience applying risk-based HSSE management approaches
Strong professional judgement and ability to influence safe outcomes in complex project environments
