Sentara Medical Group has a unique opportunity for a Patient Service Coordinator to join The Dedicated Care Center (DCC) in Norfolk, VA!

What makes the Dedicated Care Center unique? We are Sentara’s only concierge practice.  We pride ourselves in being able to dedicate more time to spend with our patients by having smaller panel sizes. We offer weekday office hours (which means no weekends), potential for staff to earn monthly incentive pay and each staff member has their own personal office space! 

As a Patient Service Coordinator with the DCC, you build relationships with patients, physicians and co-workers by providing "world class" service and would be the first point of contact/ ambassador for concierge patients. Utilize sales skills to retain patients within the practice.  Maintain superior patient-provider relationships with the highest quality of care coordination and provide service that ensures patients' needs are met and expectations are exceeded. Continuously work to improve quality efficiency & service in all areas of practice with attention to balancing health related and financial conversations to keep copays and membership fees up to date. You will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients.

    A Patient Services Coordinator is responsible for developing care plans, coordinating patient care services, and ensuring patients receive the necessary medical treatment. They consult with healthcare providers, evaluate patient progress, and assist with securing funding for medical care.
  • Job Description
    Coordinates activities for specific practices, including insurance verification/obtaining pre-certification, scheduling, pre-registration and order transmission. Purpose is to ensure maximum reimbursement and reduce denials related to incomplete insurance information and/or authorization. Maintains statistics and acts as liaison between clinical testing sites and offices.
