Job Summary
- Contacts scheduled, pre-registered patients prior to service.
- Visits inpatients prior to discharge who were admitted through the Emergency Department or directly from the physician office.
- Provides financial clearance for high dollar outpatient procedures that are not pre-registered.
- Coordinates and resolves all customer service issues related to revenue cycle.
- Provides upfront pricing and patient responsibility estimates.
- Performs other administrative duties.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience
- 3 years of experience in healthcare-related industry or hospital Patient Accounting or Patient Access department, with an emphasis on customer service, point-of-service-collection, credit and collections, insurance verification or billing.
- Experience with public and multiple customers (internal and external), working under stress, meeting deadlines and performing daily assignments with consistent accuracy are standard requirements.

Compensation/Benefits
- $16.72-$27.30/hr depending on previous work experience.
