Job Description

What will you do:

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that the products meet the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements while also driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position includes an 8% shift premium pay!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the quality team (inspectors, technicians) through daily direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Ensure consistent execution of inspection and testing according to control plans, work instructions, and engineering specifications.
  • Develop a strategy to improve and monitor product and process quality using SPC charts, defect tracking, first‑pass yield, and other KPIs.
  • Manage nonconforming material including identification, segregation, documentation, and disposition.
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) by facilitating root‑cause analysis (5‑Why, Fishbone, DMAIC) and verifying effectiveness.
  • Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate records, demonstrating process control, and closing audit findings.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain to resolve quality issues quickly and prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, customer requirements, and safety standards.
  • Lead daily quality meetings to communicate issues, trends, and priorities.
  • Train operators and inspectors on quality standards, defect recognition, and proper documentation.
  • Escalate critical issues that threaten safety, compliance, or customer satisfaction.
  • Ensuring all employees have current, documented training for their roles, tracking expirations, new-hire onboarding, cross-training, and compliance with customer/ISO requirements.

Qualifications

What We Look For:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred:

  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification.
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) tools
