What You'll Do
As a Life Skills Professional, you will:
• Support individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges in a residential setting
• Assist with activities of daily living, including meal planning, meal preparation, shopping, and household tasks
• Encourage and support individuals in achieving their treatment, recovery, and personal goals
• Provide supervision, guidance, and skill-building opportunities that promote independence and quality of life
• Facilitate community involvement, appointments, recreational activities, and transportation needs
• Monitor and respond appropriately to crisis situations using trauma-informed practices
• Document services, activities, progress notes, medication records, and other required program documentation
• Collaborate with treatment teams, clinical staff, and supervisors to ensure individuals receive quality care
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for all individuals served
• Monitor medications as assigned and follow all organizational policies and procedures

Qualifications
Required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Basic computer and internet skills, including email and electronic documentation
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to work with individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges
Preferred
• Prior experience in human services, behavioral health, residential services, or related fields
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented support practices
Schedule
• Full-Time- 8am to 4pm
• Schedule flexibility required based on program and business needs
• Participation in on-call or emergency coverage may be required
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, climb stairs, and drive as needed
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to safely assist individuals and respond to emergency situations as required
