Maintenance Technician

Description

Apartment community in North Adams seeking an energetic and self-motivated maintenance worker to join our team. Must be organized, dependable, and have proven proficiency with painting, basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical work. Under direction will be responsible for the on-going maintenance and upkeep of buildings, equipment, facilities and grounds. Excellent communication skills are essential as this position involves coordinating on a regular basis with management and coworkers, residents, and subcontractors. All technicians participate in a rolling on-call calendar.

BROAD SCOPE OF DUTIES:

• repairs to building appliances and fixtures
• repair or replace plumbing fixtures
• patch holes in walls
• paint building interiors
• clean vacant units and interior spaces
• miscellaneous carpentry repairs, good carpentry skills a plus!
• change locks
• grounds keeping, landscaping and snow removal

Rate of pay depends on experience but will be between $20 and $22. Please submit a resume and we will call you if interested in speaking further.

Requirements

• 2 years of maintenance experience required.
