What You’ll Do

As a CDL Instructor, you’ll guide students through every stage of their training—from the classroom to the road—helping them build the skills and confidence needed to earn their Commercial Driver’s License.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging classroom and/or virtual instruction using a structured curriculum
• Coaching students through backing maneuvers and range skills
• Providing hands-on road training, including shifting and real-world driving techniques
• Evaluating student progress and offering individualized support when needed
• Administering written and practical exams and providing constructive feedback
• Tracking attendance and maintaining accurate records
• Creating a positive, motivating learning environment
• Ensuring safety standards are upheld at all times
• Reporting equipment issues promptly

Location & Schedule:
Primarily based in the Greater Boston area, with a rotation of approximately six weeks locally followed by up to three weeks of travel within a 45-mile radius.

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum of 3 years of Class A driving experience
• Ability to meet all DOT driver qualification requirements
• Strong communication and public speaking skills
• A passion for teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed
• Patience, professionalism, and a positive attitude
