JOB SUMMARY:
Test or modify developmental or operational electrical systems in Stolle can making machinery. Work closely
with Electrical Engineers and System Assemblers.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES include:
ā¢Ā Assemble electrical systems or prototype using hand tools or measuring instruments.
ā¢Ā Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot or repair electrical instruments or testing equipment.
ā¢Ā Identify solutions to on-site technical design problems involving electrical systems equipment.
ā¢Ā Collaborate with electrical engineers or other personnel to identify, define, or solve developmental
Ā Ā Ā Ā problems.
ā¢Ā Set up or operate test equipment to evaluate performance of parts, assemblies or systems under simulated
Ā Ā Ā Ā operating conditions.
ā¢Ā Review existing electrical engineering criteria keeping it current.
ā¢Ā Prepare, review or coordinate ongoing modifications to contract specifications or plans.
ā¢Ā Build or test electrical components of electric-drive vehicles or prototype vehicles.
ā¢Ā Serve as lead for Start Ups troubleshooting for āBuy-offsā with customers.
ā¢Ā Programming and troubleshooting on Allen-Bradley Control Logix and Siemens Portal and Scout platforms.
Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned.Ā
Minimal requirements for education, knowledge and experience:
ā¢Ā Associate Degree plus 3-5 years hands on industry experience or 10+ years of hands on industry experience.
ā¢Ā Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology applying
Ā Ā Ā Ā principles, techniques, procedures and equipment to the design/production of various goods/services.
ā¢Ā Must possess effective skills in math, reading, writing, speaking, listening,
Ā Ā Ā Ā critical thinking, decision making and complex problem solving.
ā¢Ā Preferred Software and hardware:
Ā Microsoft Outlook 2010, Rockwell RSLogix 5000 17-20 and Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View ME 6.0-7.0, RSLinx,
Ā Ā Ā Ā Drive Executive and Siemens TIA Portal Version 13, SCOUT Version 4.4 as well as Allen-Bradley and
Ā Ā Ā Ā Siemens programmable controllers with and without safety, servos, frequency drives, and touchscreen
Ā Ā Ā Ā operator panels.Ā
This position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
ā¢Ā Work schedule generally consists of 40-55 hours per week, which may include overtime, on-call status, evenings, and/or weekends.
ā¢Ā Required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
ā¢Ā Travel up to 25% may be required.
ā¢Ā Ability to lift 50 pounds.
