WHAT WE’RE SEEKINGÂ

We are looking for a Director of Instruction who can build and lead Topgolf's golf instruction platform at their venue, driving lesson volume, developing Lead Instructors, and creating programming that keeps guests coming back to grow their game.Â

THE ROLEÂ Â
The Director of Instruction leads all golf instruction programming at the venue, overseeing individual and group lessons, leagues, tournaments, player development series, and summer camps. This role is responsible for growing the instruction platform through exceptional teaching, community outreach, and partnership with the events team.Â
Â
The Director of Instruction also manages and develops Lead Instructors, oversees club fitting and equipment maintenance, manages the golf services budget, and leverages swing analysis technology and teaching aids to deliver best-in-class learning experiences.Â

WHAT YOU WILL DOÂ
Lead Golf InstructionÂ
•Coordinate, schedule, and deliver individual and group golf lessons for guests of all skill levelsÂ
•Utilize swing analysis technology, launch monitors, and teaching aids in all instruction programsÂ
•Walk the tee line during peak times to market the instruction platform and offer impromptu lessonsÂ
•Direct tournaments, leagues, summer camps, and player development series at the venueÂ

Grow the Instruction PlatformÂ
•Grow the golf instruction program through marketing, community outreach, and partnershipsÂ
•Work with the events team to promote and integrate lessons into event programmingÂ
•Supervise information requests related to lesson schedules and instructional seriesÂ
•Develop and implement player development series ideas that drive engagement and repeat visitsÂ

Manage and Develop InstructorsÂ
•Manage and develop coaching and sales skills in Lead InstructorsÂ
•Build a team of instructors who deliver consistent, high-quality guest experiencesÂ
•Hold instructors accountable for lesson quality, scheduling, and guest satisfactionÂ

Manage Operations and BudgetÂ
•Manage club fitting, club repair, and general maintenance of golf equipmentÂ
•Maintain inventory of golf services tools, technology, and teaching aidsÂ
•Meet budgetary requirements for the golf services programÂ

QUALIFICATIONSÂ
•2–3 years of experience teaching golf lessons across multiple skill levelsÂ
•PGA Membership; Class A Certification preferredÂ
•bachelor's degree preferredÂ
•Experience managing an independent golf lesson programÂ
•Proven record of accomplishment of successful golf instructionÂ
•Familiarity with swing analysis technology and launch monitor technologyÂ
•Exceptional coaching ability and strong interpersonal skillsÂ
•Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skillsÂ
•Ability to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of timeÂ
•Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysÂ
•Must be 21 years of age or older as required by state or local lawÂ
