Job Description

Operations Manager to lead and oversee Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and Facilities Management activities supporting a large-scale federal facilities contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing personnel, managing resources, and ensuring all contract requirements are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with customer expectations. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience managing complex facility operations, workforce planning, and resource allocation within secure government environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall operational leadership for contract performance and service delivery. 
  • Direct and manage contractor personnel to ensure mission and contract objectives are met. 
  • Exercise authority to deploy labor resources, tools, materials, equipment, and parts as necessary to support operational requirements. 
  • Oversee day-to-day facilities operations, maintenance programs, and service delivery activities. 
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, safety, and security requirements.  Coordinate with government stakeholders and internal leadership to address operational priorities and emerging requirements. 
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. 
  • Manage resource planning, staffing, scheduling, and operational readiness across the supported facilities.


Minimum Qualifications 

  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance. 
  • Associate's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business Management, or a related discipline; or equivalent technical training, military training, trade school education, and/or industry-recognized certifications. 
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Facilities Management, or related operational support services. 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing services for large-scale facilities, campuses, complex operations, or government installations.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing operational resources in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong knowledge of facilities operations, maintenance programs, workforce management, and resource planning. 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer engagement skills.
  • Experience supporting federal, Department of Defense (DoD), intelligence community, or other secure government facilities. 
  • Professional certifications related to facilities management, operations management, project management, or building systems. 
  • Experience managing large contracts, service-level agreements, and performance-driven environments.
