Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintains quality standards and safely performs duties while providing excellent customer service.
• Operates motor vehicles (van or station wagon) on a regular and routine basis.
• Daily delivery, pickup and carrying mail to and from assigned stops.
• Accurately and efficiently sorts mail and makes mail pickups and deliveries.
• Provides security for all mail during deliveries.
• Receive and document courier packages.
• Ensures distribution of mail is accepted by authorized official military/government personnel.
• Obtains receipts for articles delivered and keeps a log of mail-related items received and delivered;
delivers items to offices and departments within an establishment.
• Obtains signatures from recipients of special delivery mail.
• Maintains and generates necessary records required by the contract as well as those required by
Goodwill for mail services.
• Completes appropriate computer data entry.
• Advises patrons on the applicable postal service and Federal regulations.
• Assists in training assigned individuals in all phases of a mail center operations.
• Responsible for ensuring equipment and supplies are used, maintained, stored, and replaced
properly; ensure safe operation at all times.
• Maintains a safe and orderly work environment.
• Responsible for performance of safety drills and keeping the work site within OSHA standards.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must be able to:
• Operate manual and mechanized postal center equipment.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and
procedure manuals.
• Obtain and maintain the required security clearance as stipulated by contract.

• Possess management skills, with focus on the ability to handle multiple projects needs simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Enthusiasm for the mission of the organization.
• Data entry skills preferred.
• Prior experience working on military installations preferred.
• Prior experience working with a diverse population, including individuals with challenges and disabilities
preferred.
