Maintenance Technician

Description

Stokes Automotive Group seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across five commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building maintenance and facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently to minimize downtime. 
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and maintain accurate service records. 
• Support facility operations by maintaining lighting, doors, locks, and other building features. 
• Respond promptly to service requests and emergency maintenance needs. 
• Coordinate with management,  contractors and vendors when necessary. 
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Requirements

 Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in building or facility maintenance. 
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance. HVAC License a plus. 
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple building locations. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
• Excellent communication and organizational skills. 
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.  

Work Environment:

• Position requires travel between five locations- in North Charleston, Goose Creek and Moncks Corner.  
• May require occasional evening or weekend work for specific and/or urgent repairs. 
• Moderate physical activity, including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working in various indoor/outdoor conditions.
