SUMMARY: Under the guidance of the Manager, Supervisors and Team Leads, the Diagnostic Imaging Coordinator will be responsible for Women's Center patient workflow as well as other administrative and patient care tasks, including QA measures, to support the department. Exercises critical thinking to prioritize their workload and patient management situations. The Coordinator is responsible for tracking and entering patient information into the CT Lung Cancer Screening program system. The core Success Factors include: Instill Trust and Value Differences Patient and Community Focus and Collaborate RESPONSIBILITIES: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for various Quality Assurance measures to ensure timely, accurate reporting and patient notification as well as appropriate scheduling and follow-up care. Review patient schedule in advance and investigate appointments with inadequate history and/or incorrect bookings. Answer telephones and voicemail. Direct questions to the appropriate manager, technologist, or radiologist. Schedule screening, diagnostic, breast ultrasound, and breast biopsy appointments. Confirm physician orders in chart for all exams except screenings. Coordinate follow-up appointments for patients where indicated. Schedule and coordinate scheduling of Stereotactic, Ultrasound Core biopsy, and post-surgical follow up of biopsy patients. Set up procedure trays and follow up with post biopsy patients. Assist in maintaining department inventory to ensure exam rooms are adequately supplied. Assist Scheduling office as needed. Request outside films for comparison and facilitate comparison reading and follow-up exams. Review Breast Imaging reports and alert radiologist of any discrepancies. Enter BIRAD data into Mammography tracking system for Breast Imaging reports. Notify radiologist and/or requesting MD when patient is overdue or refuses recommended breast imaging study. Document all required information in Mammography tracking system. Review and mail all patient letters per department protocol. Upload Breast Imaging studies from outside facility CDs. Assist Breast Imaging Radiologists as needed. Participate in departmental and/or interdepartmental quality improvement activities. Develop workflow documents for education and training, responsible for new staff training. Ensure proper quality of work done by staff; prepares daily work schedule assuring adequate coverage and reassign personnel as required to ensure efficient service. Responsible for the CT Lung Cancer Screening program tracking system data entry and patient results notification. Assist in the preparation of information and reports for the Lung Cancer Screening Program Responsible for ongoing monitoring of patient Lung Cancer screening exams, and assisting with follow up of abnormal findings. Acts as a liaison for Lung Cancer Screening Program with patients, physicians and other personnel. Perform all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Radiology experience 3-5yrs Must possess ability to maintain confidentially and be detailed oriented. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft office, Radiology PACS and RIS systems. Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with peers, patients, providers and leadership. Ability to organize, prioritize and follow through. Be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to efficiently manage time and prioritize workload. EDUCATION: High School Graduate or Equivalent Medical Terminology/Medical Assistant training CPR certification

Pay Range:

$19.97-$32.96
