ECE Paraeducator (EHS) - 7 hrs/day (Oakdale/PC#250598)
Position Summary:
 Assists one or more Early Childhood teachers in the education, care, supervision, and instruction of pre-school aged children, in classrooms, common areas, and playgrounds at a center dedicated to pre-kindergarten children, and in the community. Maintains and prepares classroom and related environments, materials, and control of forms. Assists in developing play-oriented curriculum.

Salary:Â $19.61 - $25.94 per hour in 9 annual steps. Salary placement is based on relevant experience.
Location:Â Oakdale
Hours:Â 7 hours/day; 5 days/week
Benefits:Â Medical, Dental, Vision, and Employee Life Insurance available for employees who work 4+ hours per day (Full district contribution for 6+ hours/day; 50% contribution for 4-5.99 hours/day).
Education and Experience:Â
Requirements for ECE Paraeducator positions under the Federal Head Start Program; High School Diploma or equivalent and a California Associate Teacher Permit (Referred by Federal head Start as “Child Development Associate Credential”) or Associate Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
Licenses and Certifications:Â
May require a valid driver’s license. Certificate or permit required as defined in the Child
Development Permit Matrix established through the California Department of Education. CPR/First Aid certificate with pediatric endorsement.
Documents (all of the following documents are required for this position):
Certification (California Associate Teacher Permit or AA Degree or Higher)
CPR/First Aid Certification (With pediatric endorsement)
NCLB Compliance (48 college units (semester) or pass the Paraeducator Proficiency Exam)
Proof of HS Graduation (High School Diploma, High School Transcripts or Equivalent (ex: GED))
Resume (Provide clear evidence of required experience)
