The Quality Assurance Coordinator provides quality assurance and administrative support in all areas of quality, quality systems, and cold chain including sanitary transportation.  This position requires collaboration with key internal and external customers to drive improvement and increase customer satisfaction. This position reports directly to the Senior FSQA Manager. The hours are 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to
  • Support Mom’s Meals compliance with FSMA Sanitary Transportation.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess compliance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions
  • Develop and deliver food safety training programs to employees at all levels, fostering a culture of food safety excellence
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and supply chain to enhance food safety initiatives
  • Collaborate with Logistics and Tech Services teams to qualify new cold chain sites and aid in resolution of nonconformities
  • Organize and report on audit assessments and recommend an action plan to understand the impact of the assessment gaps
  • Assist in analyzing complaint data and temperature data as it relates to finished products and storage sites to identify trends and opportunities with products and vendors to drive continuous improvement
  • Lead and support root cause problem solving tools for investigating complaints for safety and quality compliance issues
  • Assure programs, policies and procedures are compliant and kept current
  • Trend food safety data to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Assist Technical Services Management with data reporting activities such as Key Performance Indicators/Dashboards
  • Assist Technical Services with special projects as needed


Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or at least 3 years’ minimum experience working in the food industry environment with quality systems
  • Understanding of HACCP food hazards such as microbiological, chemical, and physical
  • Familiar with FSMA Sanitary Transportation
  • Experience with Electronic Quality Management Systems
  • GFSI schema training desired (SQF, BRC, etc.)
  • Strong initiative and ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Proficient writing skills (proofreading, grammar)
  • Reliable problem solver with strong project management skills 
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously to conduct audits as needed
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with computer software applications such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.


Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience in a food storage facility
  • Familiar with FDA and USDA regulations
  • Quality management system or customer relationship management program experience


Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms
  • Frequently required to stand, communicate, and listen
  • Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Able to perform repetitive movements
  • Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)
