Job DetailsJob Location: 23rd and Swift - North Kansas City, MO 64116Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $21.00 - $22.00 HourlyMaxus Properties is seeking a Make Ready Technician for 23rd and Swift Apartments in Kansas City, Missouri. $1500 SIGN ON BONUS PAID ON A TIERED SCHEDULE! Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / Property Manager Position Summary Maxus Make Ready Technicians are responsible for the overall maintenance of our communities, with a focus on preparing apartments for incoming residents.   DESCRIPTION:  Responsibilities of the Make Ready Technician include:   Preparing apartments for tours/the incoming residents' move-in by conducting lock changes, move-out inspections, trash out, punch out, and scheduling vendors where necessary. May be called upon to track and complete service requests on occupied and vacant apartments, office/clubhouse, and amenities and perform timely repairs, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, lighting, etc. May be called upon to assist with semi-annual property inspections, including fire safety, pest control, etc. Assist with controlling and reporting stock and inventory. Safely use and perform periodic maintenance of tools and equipment (hammer, drill, saw, gauges, etc). Complete any additional projects as requested under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor. QualificationsQualifications Required: A current and valid drivers license is required.  2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in multifamily or a related field Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair Must obtain EPA within 60 days of hire Ability to complete physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in various conditions Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team All qualified candidates will be subject to drug testing and a criminal background check.
