Position Summary
Sanco Thermo King is seeking a customer-focused and organized Parts Specialist to join our North Liberty team. In this role, you will assist customers in identifying and purchasing the correct parts, manage inventory, and support daily parts department operations. The ideal candidate enjoys providing excellent customer service, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has strong attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and assist with parts inquiries in person, over the phone, and electronically.
  • Identify the correct replacement parts based on customer requests, equipment information, inspections, or descriptions of equipment issues.
  • Process parts sales accurately using the dealership's sales and inventory management system.
  • Accept payments, process credit account transactions, and issue receipts.
  • Research and source parts using manufacturer catalogs, vendor websites, and online resources.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels by monitoring stock and placing replenishment orders.
  • Receive, inspect, stock, and organize incoming inventory.
  • Process freight claims for damaged or incorrect shipments.
  • Handle customer returns and warranty claims in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving operations as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts department.
  • Build positive relationships with customers by providing knowledgeable and timely service.

Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous parts, heavy-duty truck, diesel, agricultural, construction equipment, or automotive industry experience preferred.
  • One to two years of parts counter or customer service experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification or experience is a plus.

Skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Basic computer proficiency with the ability to learn dealership software.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
