Licensed Electrical Foreman – New Residential Construction

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and licensed Electrical Foreman to oversee the production, installation, and field operations for our high-volume, new residential construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for leading field crews and subcontractors, managing material workflows, ensuring strict adherence to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Arkansas state amendments, and maintaining rapid production schedules without sacrificing quality or safety.

The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership capabilities, a background in fast-paced residential tract or custom home production, and holds an active Arkansas Residential Electrical Journeyman license (or higher).

Key Responsibilities

Field Leadership & Production Management

  • Oversee Field Operations: Manage day-to-day electrical installation operations across multiple residential job sites, ensuring production schedules and milestones are consistently met.

  • Crew & Subcontractor Supervision: Direct, schedule, and evaluate the work of apprentice electricians, journeymen, and subcontracted labor.

  • Workflow Sequencing: Efficiently coordinate rough-in, trim-out, and final fixtures phases to align with overall homebuilding timelines and other mechanical trades.

  • Quality Control: Conduct routine quality inspections of all rough-ins, services, panels, and trim installations to eliminate deficiencies before municipal inspections.

  • Builder Relations: Maintain strong communication and relationships with builders and general contractors.

Compliance & Safety

  • Code Enforcement: Ensure all residential electrical installations strictly comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the Arkansas Board of Electrical Examiners rules.

  • Inspections: Coordinate directly with local municipal inspectors to secure prompt approvals and address any field updates immediately.

  • Safety Leadership: Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies on-site, conducting regular safety toolbox talks and ensuring proper PPE compliance.

Materials & Logistics

  • Inventory & Requisition: Anticipate material needs, manage material takeoffs, and orchestrate the timely delivery of fixtures, wire, panels, and devices to minimize down-time.

  • Waste Mitigation: Track material utilization on-site to reduce waste and ensure production stays within budget parameters.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Licensure: Must hold a current, active Arkansas Residential Electrical Journeyman (or Residential Master / Master Electrician) license in good standing.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in residential electrical installation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory, foreman, or superintendent role specifically handling new construction production.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting residential blueprints, floor plans, schematics, and structural layouts. Utilize both Kimbel Software and Builder Software for scheduling, communication, material updates and change orders.

  • Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, clear communication, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to handle high-volume project workloads.

  • Logistics: Valid Arkansas driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Pre-Employment Screening: Drug Test and DOT Physical

Core Physical Requirements

  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy objects, typically up to 50–75 lbs independently

  • Mobility and Agility: Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces (like crawlspaces or attics), and kneeling or crouching for extended periods

  • Manual Dexterity: Strong hand-eye coordination and the ability to handle small tools and components with precision

  • Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for the duration of an 8–12 hour shift, often in varying weather conditions or non-climate-controlled environments
