Summary/Objective:
In this role, the Material Handler I will be responsible for receiving, shipping, sorting and storing materials. This role includes working with other warehouse team members.

Essential Functions:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Moves materials off trucks, pallets or racks and prepare orders for shipment
  • Sort and segregate materials onto correct pallet or other locations based on item number
  • Place labels on boxes or pallets as instructed in the process
  • Wrap pallets with stretch wrap and other packaging supplies
  • Put away product in designated warehouse locations
  • Identify damage, loss, or surplus of materials and communicate issues
  • Utilizes RF (Radio Frequency) equipment to track product
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, bend, lift, push and pull and withstand temperatures in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Keep clean and safe work environment
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations, including safety
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience

 
High school diploma or GED preferred
1 year of relevant warehouse and distribution experience preferred
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail
