Job DetailsJob Location: Myrtle Beach, SC 29483Job description: WHO WE ARE Custom Home Exteriors (CHE) has been a trusted name in residential and commercial construction across the Carolinas since 1998. We don’t just build structures , we build relationships, grow careers, and leave a legacy of craftsmanship in every market we enter. As we continue expanding our regional presence, we’re looking for a high-caliber leader ready to own the Coast, develop a team, and set the standard for operational excellence. THE OPPORTUNITY This is not a step-up role; it’s a leadership position for someone who has already proven they can run a market. Reporting directly to the GM of Construction, you will own end-to-end project delivery across two active coastal markets: Wilmington, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC. Your week will be split between both, expect roughly equal time in each territory, which means your organizational discipline and ability to context-switch without losing momentum are non-negotiable. You’ll be stepping in with active projects already in motion. Your first 90 days will be defined by your ability to quickly assess where things stand, stabilize what’s in flight, build trust with existing crews, and establish your leadership presence in both markets. This is not a ramp-up-slowly role, the work is live and the team will be looking to you immediately. WHAT YOU’LL OWN Market & Project Leadership Own end-to-end delivery of siding projects across the Coastal region, on time, on budget, to the highest quality standard Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting in partnership with project managers and clients Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure materials and labor are in place without disruption Team Development; Field Leadership Lead, coach, and retain a team of siding contractors and field professionals Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, reinforce quality standards, and keep your crew at their best Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and genuine pride in the work Quality Safety Drive rigorous quality assurance, inspections, audits, and corrective action so every project meets or exceeds CHE standards Champion a safety-first culture through consistent toolbox talks, training sessions, and zero- tolerance accountability Client Relationships Serve as the primary client contact: proactive communication, transparent updates, and swift issue resolution Turn satisfied clients into long-term CHE relationships through consistent professionalism and follow-through QualificationsWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Required 5+ years of construction management experience with direct oversight of field crews and multi-project portfolios Proven track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and to quality standards Strong command of construction safety regulations and OSHA compliance Exceptional leadership presence your team performs at a higher level because you’re there Client-facing communication skills that build confidence and resolve conflict High organizational discipline with strong follow-through and attention to detail Valid driver’s license and genuine commitment to regular field presence Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field Direct experience with siding materials, installation techniques, and subcontractor management Experience building or scaling a regional construction operation. As part of our process, we’ll ask you to complete a brief DISC profile assessment (about 20 minutes). You’ll receive your own results — and we use them to understand how your strengths align with this role and our team. It’s one of the ways we make sure this is a great fit on both sides.
