Participates in an array of tasks associated with clinical research to include: collection of data in an organized and timely fashion while promoting and upholding attitudes of caring, compassion, justice and respect for the human person. Minimum Qualifications o Education o Associates degree from a two year college or technical school (nursing, pharmaceutical or science related field) and six months experience in related medical fields preferred OR A general Associates degree and 1 year of direct responsibility for clinical research or one year as an Assistant Research Coordinator (ARC) o Credentials o State Required: None o GPRMC Preferred: None Physical Demands 1. Sit constantly. 2. Stand and walk occasionally. 3. Bend and reach floor to over head occasionally. 4. Frequent computer use. 5. Lift floor to waist up to 50# occasionally. 6. Carry up to 50# fifty feet at waist level occasionally. 7. Demonstrate Vision, color acuity, and fine motor coordination within normal limits for age and gender.Essential Functions 1. Develops basic knowledge of Good Clinical Practice guidelines, FDA guidelines, study protocols and informed consent process as they pertain to clinical research. 2. Develops full knowledge of inclusion/exclusion for patient enrollment for all trials. 3. Prepares all pertinent supplies, forms, etc., to expedite patient enrollment for all trials. 4. Obtains training to appropriately collect and process blood and urine specimens for shipment to reference laboratories. 5. Conducts the trial by working with patients, family and other health care providers by scheduling appointments for screening, medication administration and follow up visits for all trials. 6. Submits data and information, and undertakes all assigned activities, so that the time schedules set forth in the protocol are strictly met. 7. Completes, reviews, and maintains trial subject source documents. 8. Interacts professionally with study sponsors and investigators while maintaining clinical research associated supplies, forms and inventory control of investigational agents in conjunction with the investigator. 9.
