Job Summary
A multi-faceted general contracting company that specializes in construction management (CM) projects and has consistently ranked as one of the top construction firms in the area for more than 60 years is seeking a full-time Assistant HR Manager. This position will support recruiting, onboarding, new hire orientation, job and career fairs, employee relations, and general Human Resources functions. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish and able to communicate effectively with employees, candidates, managers, and outside partners.

- Superior organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow through
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, new hire orientation, and employee relations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Candidate will be able to...
- Support and execute recruiting strategies including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate communication, and hiring manager coordination
- Coordinate and participate in job fairs, career fairs, school outreach, community recruiting events, and other workforce development initiatives
- Partner with managers and supervisors to determine staffing needs and provide timely recruiting support
- Assist with onboarding, new hire paperwork, I-9 verification, employee file maintenance, and new hire orientation
- Communicate HR policies, procedures, benefits, and employment information clearly in both English and Spanish
- Support employee relations matters by responding to employee questions, assisting with documentation, and helping resolve workplace concerns in a professional and confidential manner
- Ensure recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations activities comply with applicable state and federal regulations as well as corporate policies and procedures
- Coordinate pre-employment drug testing and criminal/credit background checks
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external clients to support staffing, retention, and employee engagement goals
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources team and department personnel
- Input, update, and track Human Resources data accurately and timely
- Demonstrate professional and dependable behavior at all times and maintain confidentiality with all sensitive material and communications
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience in business, communications, human resources or related discipline
- 2-4 years of Human Resources experience preferred, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, or related HR support
- Experience in the construction industry is a plus but not required
CRITICAL TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (All Applications)
- Knowledge or familiarity with Applicant Tracking Software (ATS)
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred
- Ability to communicate HR information clearly and professionally in both languages with employees, candidates, managers, and external partners
