Job DetailsJob Location: Waterville Valley, NH 03215Position Type: Full TimeJob Summary: The Small Engine Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of small engines and mechanical equipment used in ski resort operations. This includes snowmobiles, ATVs, UTVs, lawn mowers, pumps, and other utility equipment critical to mountain and facility functions. The role ensures equipment reliability, safety, and performance throughout the year. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair small engine equipment including snowmobiles, ATVs, chainsaws, and portable generators Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, spark plug service, and fuel system cleaning Inspect equipment for safety and operational readiness Maintain accurate service records and maintenance logs Order and manage parts inventory as needed Assist with preseason equipment preparation and postseason storage procedures Respond to breakdowns and perform field repairs when necessary Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations Collaborate with lift maintenance, grooming, and facilities teams to support overall resort operations Working Conditions: Work performed both indoors (shop) and outdoors (mountain terrain) Exposure to cold temperatures, snow, and loud machinery May require early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak season Occasional lifting of heavy equipment (50+ lbs) Waterville Valley Resort is an at-will equal opportunity employer.
