Reports to: Director of Marketing

Job Description: Sterling is a leading provider of IT solutions and services, helping federal, state, and local government agencies modernize infrastructure, adopt AI, and strengthen cybersecurity. Through strategic partnerships with leading technology partners, Sterling delivers innovative solutions that solve real-world challenges. We are looking for a creative, data-driven Digital Strategist with a strong appetite for building and executing high-impact marketing programs. This role will act as a key driver of digital strategy, connecting marketing efforts to pipeline growth, supporting solution selling, and aligning closely with sales and partner teams.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of B2B digital marketing experience
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, HubSpot, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of SEO and paid social
  • Experience with ABM strategies
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Proficiency in tools like SEMrush, Google Analytics (GA4), LinkedIn Campaign Manager
  • Strong analytical and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience marketing to federal or SLED audiences
  • Experience working with technology partners
  • Experience in AI, infrastructure, or cybersecurity marketing

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute integrated digital marketing strategies aligned to revenue and pipeline goals
  • Build and manage multi-channel campaigns across SEO, paid media, email, and ABM
  • Support go-to-market efforts for key solutions (AI, private wireless, cybersecurity, infrastructure modernization)
  • Align campaigns with key technology partners to support co-marketing initiatives

Audience Development & Targeting

  • Develop buyer personas across federal, SLED, and enterprise audiences
  • Build and manage target account lists for ABM campaigns
  • Map customer journeys and identify key engagement points across the funnel

Traffic Generation & Paid Media

  • Develop and support SEO strategy including keyword research and optimization
  • Plan and execute paid campaigns across LinkedIn and Facebook
  • Manage budget allocation, targeting strategy, and creative testing

Lead Nurturing & Marketing Automation

  • Build and manage email campaigns and nurture journeys
  • Develop segmentation and personalization strategies
  • Implement lead scoring and lifecycle management

CRM & Data Integration

  • Support CRM strategy within Salesforce
  • Ensure clean data flow between platforms
  • Build reporting dashboards for performance tracking

ABM (Account-Based Marketing)

  • Develop and execute ABM campaigns targeting high-value accounts
  • Coordinate personalized marketing efforts across channels

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track and analyze campaign performance
  • Develop reporting on pipeline contribution and ROI
