Title: Partner Business Manager

Location: North Sioux City, SD

Reports to:  Vice President of Partner Alliance and Marketing

Job Description: The Partner Business Manager will play an important role in supporting Sterling’s engagements with Sterling’s top OEMs.  The Partner Business Manager will also collaborate with Sterling’s VP of Partner Alliance, Sales Teams, Contracts, and Sterling’s Marketing Team to help drive solutions in-line with Sterling’s strategic goals and to support the over-all business objectives.

Required Technical Skills: Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience using Salesforce is preferred. Experience in the information technology (IT) industry is also preferred.

Required Education/Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of two years of experience in sales, accounting, partner management, or a related business field. A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline is preferred and may be considered in place of equivalent experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and manage relationships with OEM partners to support business objectives and growth initiatives.
  • Lead and participate in regular OEM cadence calls, providing updates and coordinating follow-up actions.
  • Resolve sales opportunity conflicts and facilitate communication between internal teams and OEM partners.
  • Track, report, and submit OEM Market Development Funds (MDF) claims in accordance with partner program requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain OEM rebate reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Manage deal registration updates and monitor opportunity status within partner portals and internal systems.
  • Create and distribute weekly sales communication emails to provide updates on partner programs, incentives, and key initiatives.
  • Track OEM certification requirements and coordinate certification execution and compliance efforts.
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by the VP of Partner Alliance, Marketing Manager, and/or Contracts Manager.
  • Travel periodically for business meetings, partner engagements, and company events, as needed (approximately 2-3 times per year).
