You will be responsible for systems engineering support of technical projects. You will be conducting analysis, investigations, and testing in product development and production issues.

Description

You will report into the Sr Technical Director of Systems and Technology and be responsible for:

• Contribute to all systems engineering efforts throughout the lifecycle such as: proof of concept, design, analysis, modeling, testing, etc.
• Support New Product Introduction and Design for Manufacturability
• Create test plans and procedures to support system design verification testing
• Support the manufacturing, business development, and sales team with technical inquiries, proposals, modeling, etc.

Profile

• 5-10+ years of experience in optical engineering/infrared product design and development
• Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce
• Bachelor of Science in Physics, Engineering, or Optical Science
• Knowledge in NVTHERMIP/NV-IPM, SSCAM, IRWindows 4, NVLabCap, MODTRAN, ZEMAX, FRED, MATLAB, and MathCad
• * Knowledge of IR detectors (InSb, MCT, uncooled microbolometers, InGaAs, QWIP, SLS, etc.) to include NIR, SWIR, MWIR and LWIR bands strongly preferred
• Experience with color and low-light image sensors preferred
• Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance if needed
