Description
You will report into the Sr Technical Director of Systems and Technology and be responsible for:
- Contribute to all systems engineering efforts throughout the lifecycle such as: proof of concept, design, analysis, modeling, testing, etc.
- Support New Product Introduction and Design for Manufacturability
- Create test plans and procedures to support system design verification testing
- Support the manufacturing, business development, and sales team with technical inquiries, proposals, modeling, etc.

Profile
- 5-10+ years of experience in optical engineering/infrared product design and development
- Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce
- Bachelor of Science in Physics, Engineering, or Optical Science
- Knowledge in NVTHERMIP/NV-IPM, SSCAM, IRWindows 4, NVLabCap, MODTRAN, ZEMAX, FRED, MATLAB, and MathCad
- * Knowledge of IR detectors (InSb, MCT, uncooled microbolometers, InGaAs, QWIP, SLS, etc.) to include NIR, SWIR, MWIR and LWIR bands strongly preferred
- Experience with color and low-light image sensors preferred
- Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance if needed
