This role provides direct therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and young adults ages 5-21 who are experiencing significant emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. The Individual Therapist is responsible for delivering one-on-one therapy, developing individualized treatment plans, engaging families in the treatment process, and collaborating closely with group therapists, psychiatric providers, and leadership team members to support each client's progress and recovery. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping young people build skills, improve functioning, and achieve meaningful clinical outcomes within a structured treatment environment. Essential Responsibilities Provide individual therapy services to children, adolescents, and young adults enrolled in the Partial Hospitalization Program. Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and contribute to admission and treatment planning processes. Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and the treatment team. Maintain regular communication with parents, guardians, caregivers, and other supports to promote treatment engagement and continuity of care. Collaborate closely with Group Therapists to ensure treatment interventions are coordinated and aligned with client goals. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings with psychiatric providers, clinical leadership, nursing staff, and other team members. Monitor client progress and address barriers to treatment success. Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, and clinical support as needed. Coordinate care with schools, outpatient providers, child welfare agencies, and other community resources when appropriate. Assist with discharge planning and aftercare recommendations to support ongoing treatment and recovery. License eligibility in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, including: LAPC LSW Other license-track clinicians working toward independent licensure. Experience working with children, adolescents, and families experiencing behavioral health challenges. Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team. Preferred Experience Previous experience in a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), outpatient counseling, school-based mental health, residential treatment, or inpatient behavioral health setting. Experience treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, ADHD, disruptive behavior disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and co-occurring conditions. Training or experience in CBT, DBT, Trauma-Informed Care, Play Therapy, Family Therapy, or Motivational Interviewing. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to establish therapeutic relationships with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Understanding of child and adolescent development and behavioral health treatment. Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills. Ability to manage crisis situations in a calm and professional manner. Commitment to family-centered and recovery-oriented care. Ability to collaborate effectively with therapists, psychiatrists, leadership, schools, and community partners.
