Position Overview: This is a Second shift role Hours are 3:15 PM to 11:45 PM We are seeking a Nanotechnology Technician to support ongoing research, development, and production initiatives involving nano-scale materials, coatings, and precision manufacturing. This role is ideal for a technically minded individual with a strong mechanical aptitude and interest in advanced materials science. The Nanotechnology Technician will work closely with engineers and production teams to assist in the fabrication, testing, and inspection of nano-engineered components that enhance product performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities: • Operate, monitor, and maintain specialized equipment used for nanofabrication, coating, and surface treatment. • Assist with sample preparation, testing, and data collection to support research and production efforts. • Perform inspections and analysis using microscopes, measurement instruments, and other analytical tools. • Record and maintain process data, test results, and quality documentation. • Follow established procedures and safety protocols when handling chemicals, materials, and sensitive equipment. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in all operations. QualificationsQualifications: • Prior experience in manufacturing, laboratory, or cleanroom environments preferred. • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise technical procedures. • Willingness to learn and grow within a highly technical and evolving field. Physical and Work Environment Requirements: This position is based in a manufacturing environment and may require the following over extended periods of time up to a full 8-hour work shift (excluding lunch and breaks): stand, walk, sit, squat or bend, kneel and rise, lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to — and occasionally exceeding — 50 pounds, view a computer or other digital screen, work on a computer, workstation or comparable system, and make accurate entries in such systems. Manual dexterity and fine motor skills are required for detailed assembly and precision work. Work may take place in areas with varying temperatures or no climate control, varying noise levels, and production equipment in motion. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn in designated areas at all times as required by company policy.
