Fuller is seeking a Team Lead qualified Machinist on day shift with Mill and Lathe experience to train others, cover machines, and allow shop to be flexible and start the cross-training process.

About the department 

The Machinist is a critical role in Manufacturing, and will belong to a culture of personnel and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company’s operational activities.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead Manufacturing Team

  • Work with and train machinist

  • Operates and maintains CNC lathe and CNC milling machines.

  • Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints to ensure accurate production.

  • Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping.

  • Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.

  • Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.

  • Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.

  • Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.

  • Maintains a safe and clean workstation.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in math

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks

  • Prior experience with CNC lathe and or CNC Mill
