Position Summary:

USA Clinics Group is seeking an Accounting Manager to join a growing team! Reporting directly to the CFO, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for the management, direction, and operation of a combination of general accounting activities including accounts payable, general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, and related functions. Provides for the preparation of financial statements and reports in such areas as recording disbursements, expenses, and tax payments. Provides financial reports covering earnings, cash balances and other financial results. Plans and directs the development, implementation, operation and integrity of accounting systems and procedures.

Position Details:

  • Location: Northbrook, IL
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday on-site.
  • Compensation: $120k-$135k per year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, and taxes
  • Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit
  • Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
  • Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
  • Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role, required
  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
  • Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems.
