Job Type: Full-Time Position Summary UCS LLC is looking for a dependable and safety-focused CDL Driver to join our growing team. As a CDL Driver, you'll primarily transport construction equipment, ground protection mats, and related materials throughout Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding Tri-State area. This is not a long-haul trucking position—you'll play a vital role in supporting our field operations while enjoying consistent local work and the opportunity to be part of an awesome team. Responsibilities
- Safely transport construction equipment, ground protection mats, and materials to and from job sites.
- Secure loads using proper tie-down procedures in accordance with DOT regulations and company standards.
- Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections.
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment and materials as needed.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and required DOT documentation.
- Work closely with field crews and project managers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Communicate vehicle maintenance concerns promptly.
- Represent UCS LLC professionally while interacting with customers, contractors, and the public.
- Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of CDL driving experience.
- Experience hauling heavy equipment, trailers, or construction materials preferred.
- Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and vehicle inspection requirements.
- Ability to safely operate equipment used to load and unload trailers is a plus.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check, and DOT physical.
- Must be punctual, dependable, and professional.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently while also supporting field crews when needed.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime and occasional weekends.
- Willingness to stay out of town as project needs require.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks associated with loading and securing equipment.
