Job Title: Production Lead
FLSA Status: Non Exempt
Job Summary: Reporting to the department supervisor, the Production Lead supports a team of employees. Assists in communicating company goals, safety practices, and deadlines to team. Motivates team members and assists in day to day tasks for the department. Main point of contact for team members to discuss concerns, ask questions etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety rules and regulations, all work must be done thinking “Safety First”
- Supports department supervisor and performs additional duties when supervisor is absent or out of office
- Reallocates resources to level load production lines
- Assists in production to ensure the schedule is met
- Liaise with various departments on product, process and equipment issues
- Maintains production lines
- Improves production process
- Supports department supervisor in capacity planning.
- Supports product and operational cross training efforts
- Reviews production orders to ascertain product requirements can be met for quality and delivery
- Gets along with others
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lift and/or move up to more than 40 pounds
- General duties as assigned

Working Conditions
- Office and manufacturing floor environments
- Occasional travel may be required
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred)
- 3–5 years of experience in project management, with a strong background in New Product Introduction or product lifecycle development
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex timelines and technical requirements
- Experience in a manufacturing or product development environment strongly preferred
Work Environment
This position operates in both office and manufacturing floor environments. Exposure to noise, machinery, temperature variation, and industrial conditions may occur when accessing plant areas.
